the family gathered together at the end of a long day’s toil in a warm, cozy room called The Keeping Room. This Bed and Breakfast is in the Treasurer’s House in the historic Village of Zoar. This home was built by the Zoarites for the Zimmerman family. Louis Zimmerman served as the Treasurer of The Zoar Society for many years. Built in 1877 this old house draws you in from the original white oak floors to the vaulted German Wine Cellar.
hear the quiet of the Zoar Village evening and smell the fresh scent of flowers from the gardens drifting through this old house, preserved through time. Whispers of stories and secrets of the past enshroud each treasure in our home and Wash House across the old brick courtyard. We welcome you to visit our historic home. As you cross the well-trod floors, you can’t help thinking that if these walls could talk, they’d have many stories to tell. The Keeping Room invites you to pull up a chair, relax and listen to the story it shares about us!
Your private bed and breakfast room is equipped with free Wi-Fi, evening dessert served, a Keurig Coffeemaker, towel warmer, personal robes, goat milk soap, pillow chocolates, queen canopy bed, claw-foot Victorian Tub, TV/DVD, and a full breakfast homemade with fresh ingredients.
